Our Commitment
A Legacy should not disappear by accident.
A deletion request should not be ignored.
This Policy explains how long Celibrium retains information, how account deletion works, and how Legacy data, Digital Twins, Voice Recordings, Voice Models, and related information are removed.
1. Purpose
This Data Retention & Account Deletion Policy explains how long Celibrium retains information, how deletion requests are processed, and how Personal Information, Legacy data, Digital Twins, Voice Recordings, and related information are permanently removed from the Services.
This Policy supplements the Celibrium Privacy Policy, Terms of Service, and applicable consent documents.
2. Active Accounts
Celibrium retains Account information and User Content for as long as an Account remains active.
Information is retained solely to provide the Services requested by the User, maintain the integrity of the Legacy, protect account security, preserve Digital Twin functionality, and comply with applicable legal obligations.
2.A Evaluation Accounts
Users who create an Evaluation Account without purchasing an eligible plan may explore the Services before committing to a purchase. How long an Evaluation Account is retained depends on whether the User has begun answering questions.
Accounts With No Answers
If a User creates an Evaluation Account and submits no interview answers, and no eligible plan is purchased within fourteen (14) calendar days after Account creation, the Evaluation Account expires automatically.
Before expiration, Celibrium sends reminder emails:
- Day 2: A reminder that the Account is waiting, with no deadline stated.
- Day 7: A reminder naming the date on which the Account will expire.
- Day 12: Notice that the Evaluation Account will expire in two (2) days.
- Day 14: Final notice that the Evaluation Account is scheduled for deletion.
Beginning on Day 15, Celibrium permanently deletes the Evaluation Account and all associated information in accordance with this Policy.
Info Hub Accounts With No Entries
The free Info Hub is not a trial. Once it holds anything at all, the fourteen-day period described below no longer applies to it, and it is retained on the same basis as any other active Account under Section 2. There is no second deadline and no requirement to purchase.
An Info Hub Account that is created and then left completely empty is treated like any other unused Account. If no entry and no Quick Contact has been added within fourteen (14) calendar days of Account creation, the Account expires and is permanently deleted beginning on Day 15, together with the email address held with it. Celibrium would rather delete a record nobody uses than retain contact details for an Account that was never used.
The same reminder schedule applies — Day 2, Day 7, Day 12 and Day 14 — and every reminder states plainly what prevents the deletion.
Adding a single entry or Quick Contact ends this fourteen-day period, and it does not begin again. Purchasing Info Hub Full also ends it, and a purchased Info Hub is not subject to automatic expiration.
Mirror and Relationship Mirror Accounts With Answers: Inactivity-Based Retention
Once a User of a Mirror or Relationship Mirror Evaluation Account has submitted at least one interview answer, retention is based on inactivity, measured from the date of the most recent answer — not from the date the Account was created. Every new answer restarts the inactivity period in full, including the reminder schedule below. An Evaluation Account is never deleted merely because it is old: a User who continues answering questions retains their Account.
If thirty (30) consecutive calendar days pass without a new answer, the Evaluation Account is scheduled for deletion. Celibrium sends notices during the inactivity period:
- Day 15 after the last answer: A reminder that the Account is waiting.
- Day 28 after the last answer: Notice that the Evaluation Account will be deleted in two (2) days unless a new answer is submitted.
- Day 30 after the last answer: Final notice that the Evaluation Account is scheduled for deletion; submitting one answer keeps it active and restarts the inactivity period.
After the Day 30 deadline passes without a new answer, Celibrium permanently deletes the Evaluation Account and all associated information in accordance with this Policy.
Legacy Evaluation Accounts With Answers
A Legacy Evaluation Account on which at least one answer has been submitted is retained for thirty (30) calendar days from Account creation, with reminder emails on Day 2 and Day 15, notice on Day 28 that deletion will follow in two (2) days, a final notice on Day 30, and deletion beginning on Day 31, unless an eligible plan is purchased.
Deleted Information
Deleted information includes, where applicable:
- Account information
- Interview responses
- Stories
- Photographs
- Videos
- Voice Recordings
- Voice Models
- Digital Twin data
- AI conversation history
- Other associated User Content
Once an Evaluation Account has been permanently deleted, it cannot be restored.
Purchasing an eligible plan before deletion converts the Evaluation Account into a standard active Account, and the automatic expiration process no longer applies.
3. Time-Lapse of the Soul
Celibrium is designed to preserve the evolution of a person's Legacy over time.
When you edit or re-answer an interview response, the updated version becomes the active version displayed within the Services.
Previous versions are intentionally preserved as part of your Legacy's historical development. Rather than replacing earlier responses, new responses become additional chapters in your evolving story.
This permanent version history is a core design principle of Celibrium and reflects our commitment to preserving personal growth, changing perspectives, and the authentic progression of a person's life over time.
Users may continue adding new responses throughout the lifetime of their Legacy. Previous versions are not individually deleted.
4. Account Deletion
You may request deletion of your Account at any time.
Upon submission of a deletion request:
- your Account is immediately deactivated;
- access to the Services is suspended;
- the fourteen (14) day recovery period begins.
No permanent deletion occurs immediately, unless you choose it: during the recovery period you may complete the deletion at once, as described in Section 5.
5. Fourteen-Day Recovery Period
For fourteen (14) calendar days following an Account deletion request:
- your Account remains recoverable;
- no permanent deletion occurs;
- your Legacy remains securely stored.
You may restore your Account at any time during this fourteen-day period by logging in using your Account credentials and selecting Restore Account.
Restoring your Account immediately cancels the deletion request.
You may also choose not to wait. During the recovery period, selecting Proceed with Deletion in your Account, and confirming, completes the permanent deletion described in Section 6 straight away. This option is available in the Celibrium application and on the website, requires a separate confirmation, and cannot be undone.
If no restoration request is received before the recovery period expires, permanent deletion begins automatically.
6. Permanent Deletion
Following expiration of the fourteen-day recovery period, Celibrium begins the permanent deletion process. In ordinary operation the erasure runs automatically and completes the same day; where a fault or a legal hold delays it, it completes within five (5) business days.
The following are permanently removed from Celibrium's production systems:
- Account information;
- Legacy data;
- interview responses and all preserved versions;
- photographs;
- videos;
- Voice Recordings;
- Digital Twin data;
- server-side AI conversation data, if any remains for operational processing;
- account settings;
- Connections history.
Once permanent deletion is completed, the Account and its contents cannot be recovered. Your name, email address and login are erased from the Account record, which is retained only as a scrubbed marker showing that an Account with that identifier once existed and was deleted.
Digital Twin conversation history stored locally on your device may remain until you clear it through Celibrium settings, your browser or device settings, or by uninstalling the application.
Users wishing to preserve Digital Twin conversations should download or export those conversations before permanent deletion occurs.
6.A What Is Not Deleted: Consent Records
Celibrium keeps a record of the agreements you accepted — the Terms of Service, the Privacy Policy, the confirmation that you are eighteen or older, and, where applicable, Voice Cloning and media consents. Each record stores the exact sentence you agreed to, the version and date, and the email address that agreed to it.
These records survive deletion of your Account. A consent record that cannot identify who consented is not evidence of anything, so removing the email address would destroy the only proof that the agreement was ever given — proof that protects you as much as it protects Celibrium. The records are kept for that purpose alone. They are never used to contact you, never used for marketing, and never restored into an Account.
The IP address that was recorded at the moment of consent is deleted along with the rest of your Account. It is captured to establish that a real request was made and is not needed once the Account is gone.
The same applies to the small number of other records described in Sections 10 and 11 — billing and tax documentation, and information held under a legal hold. Nothing else about you is retained.
7. Voice Models
Voice Cloning is an optional feature and is currently available only to United States residents.
Voice Models are created on demand when a User begins a voice conversation with their Digital Twin.
Celibrium does not maintain a permanent Voice Model when one is not actively needed. Temporary Voice Models automatically expire after the configured retention period unless recreated during a future voice session.
If you withdraw Voice Cloning consent, request deletion of your Voice Model, or delete your Account, Celibrium will transmit the deletion request to its authorized voice synthesis provider without unreasonable delay.
Based on the provider's current functionality, Voice Models removed from production are intended to be permanently deleted and cannot be recovered. Backup copies maintained by the provider may remain for a limited period in accordance with the provider's documented deletion schedule.
8. Backup Retention
Following permanent deletion from production systems, encrypted backup copies may temporarily remain within Celibrium's disaster recovery systems.
Backup copies are retained only for operational resilience and are not used to restore intentionally deleted Accounts except where necessary to recover from catastrophic system failure before normal backup expiration.
Backup copies expire automatically in accordance with Celibrium's operational backup schedule.
9. Deceased Users
Celibrium was created to preserve Legacies across generations.
Accordingly, Celibrium's default objective is preservation rather than deletion.
Accounts are not automatically deleted following a User's death.
Where an Authorized Recipient has been designated, retention and access are governed by the applicable Family Access Authorization.
Deletion of a deceased User's Legacy will occur only upon the request of an Authorized Representative or where required by applicable law.
10. Billing & Financial Records
Certain billing records, invoices, payment history, and tax documentation may be retained after Account deletion where required by applicable law.
Whenever reasonably practicable, these financial records are maintained separately from Legacy content.
11. Legal Holds
Celibrium may retain information beyond the periods described in this Policy when reasonably necessary to:
- comply with applicable law;
- respond to lawful governmental requests;
- resolve legal disputes;
- investigate fraud or abuse;
- protect the security or integrity of the Services;
- enforce Celibrium's legal rights.
Information retained under a legal hold will be limited to the extent reasonably necessary for the applicable purpose.
12. Changes to This Policy
Celibrium may update this Policy to reflect changes in our Services, technology, operational practices, or legal obligations.
Material changes will be communicated in accordance with the Celibrium Privacy Policy.

When deletion is requested, we will honor that decision carefully, transparently, and in accordance with this Policy.
When preservation is chosen, we remain committed to protecting that Legacy for the generations it was intended to serve.
